Super Bowl Trip reservations are encouraged to be made well in advance for this ultimate football fantasy vacation. This is the day that all football fans have been waiting for!
Sports Traveler Insider Tip: Dolphin Stadium is located in the city of Ft. Lauderdale, not Miami as many think. It is situated just minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale beaches and airport. Miami Beach is nearly 40 miles away. Expect to spend over an 1 to 1/2 hours (maybe longer) drive time if coming from the Miami/South Beach area on Super Bowl Game Day. Traffic in South Florida is typically heavy on a daily basis. Ft. Lauderdale game day drive time could be as little as 20 minutes depending on your hotel location.
Super Bowl XLI will be the ninth Super Bowl hosted in South Florida showcasing the Champions of the (AFC) American Football Conference and the (NFC) National Football Conference team champions. In the 2005, Super Bowl XL held in Detroit, Michigan, football fans world wide watched as the Pittsburgh Steelers faced off against the Seattle Seahawks. The victorious Pittsburgh Steelers were lead to victory with future Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis.
Traveler's heading to South Florida can choose from various Super Bowl travel options to suit their budget's and tastes. Super Bowl Tickets are available for all levels of seating on the Sports Traveler ticket network. Most seating options are available and inventory changes daily. Ticket prices start at $2880 per ticket and go up from there. Yikes you say? The Super Bowl one of the priciest sporting events on the planet. Unfortunately, Sports Traveler is a network and doesn't set or control any pricing on the website. We wish it was cheaper too.
Needing Lodging and Super Bowl Tickets while in Miami? Interested in group activities with fellow football fans plus bus transfers and Super Bowl VIP hospitality? Then a Super Bowl Package is your best bet. Packages can range from 3 to 4 nights accommodations in hotels located from Ft. Lauderdale to South Beach. All hotels are at least 3 to 5 star accommodations. Remember when choosing this option that you will be traveling with a group and will have set times for activities and travel.
A great option for traveler's not interested in packaged travel is purchasing just a Super Bowl Hotel Room separately. Sometimes choosing this option and then purchasing a Super Bowl Ticket separately can save the traveler big dollars. Plus you are on your own and free to come and go as you please without the timetable of a package.
