The Top 5 Best Football Road Trips This Season

The NFL Schedule is officially out and several great match-ups make the list of the top 5 games to travel to this season. Who's ready to road trip?

Week 1, starts off in my home town with the Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears on September 5th. It’s a Thursday Night game and take it from a life-long Chicagoan, the best time to visit this city is September. We are staying at the Fairfield Inn and Suites right by the Mag-Mile, blocks from Navy Pier and the new River Walk – home to some of the city’s hottest new bars and restaurants. The river will be thumpin'! And so will game day at Soldier Field.

Packer fans traveling to Green Bay for a game

Week 2, has the Minnesota Vikings at the Green Bay Packers on September 15th. This is a perfect weather situation to visit Lambeau Field and not freeze to death while getting the full Green Bay experience by taking part in outdoor tailgates and the historic stadium tour complete with access to the Packer Hall of Fame. Our tours to Packerland keep getting better every year. This year, add on the fully guided 90-minute Packers Heritage Tour that makes several historic stops in Packers history around the city of Green Bay.

Pittsburgh Steelers pre game party on the Allegheny River

On Sunday of Week 5, the Baltimore Ravens visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 6th. We’ll be cruising down the Allegheny River pre-game on our Sailgate Party and docking right at Heinz Field. I love to travel to Pittsburgh and October is perfect weather for an outdoor game and a river cruise. We'll be staying in the heart of downtown at the Embassy Suites, close to the best bars and restaurants. The day after the game, our group heads back to Heinz Field for a behind the scenes tour of the stadium.

Also in Week 5 will be the Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys. These fan bases together are something to experience and AT&T Stadium is one of the bucket-list trips for every fan. We’ve got two hotels (Arlington and Downtown Fort Worth) that offer something for every fan. Stay in Arlington if you want a stadium atmosphere all weekend or choose Fort Worth if you want that real Cowboy experience (as in the American Cowboy) complete with rodeo's, country music, legendary bars, and nightlife. We tailgate before the game with Super Bowl Champion Bill Bates and the day after the game we return to AT&T Stadium for a private tour.

Miami Dolphins fan travel weekend experience

Week 13, and winter is already upon us making this the perfect time to look at traveling to the Philadelphia Eagles at Miami Dolphins on December 1st. Warmth, football, and the beach… that’s really all you need in life. Our group is staying right by the beach in Fort Lauderdale, and the water taxi. New this year is the non-stop Brightline express train connecting downtown Fort Lauderdale to downtown Miami in under 30 minutes. No need to rent a car to explore the best of south Florida during your stay.

So those are our top 5 road trips this season. Which match up are you most looking forward to? Which game did you also think should have made the list?
